Mohammed Siraj worried about his broken bat

Indian pacer Mohammed Siraj is gearing up for the second Test against England starting from July 2 at Edgbaston. With reports of Jasprit Bumrah not playing the second Test, Siraj will most probably lead the pace attack.

Meanwhile, the Indian team is practicing hard ahead of the second Test with a special focus on the bowlers. Arshdeep Singh was seen training hard at the session alongside Akash Deep.

Previously, Gautam Gambhir had clarified that Jasprit Bumrah will only play three Tests in the series as part of his workload management. In that case, Siraj will need to shoulder a lot of responsibility with the ball. He bowled 41 overs for 173 runs in the series, picking up just two wickets. He went wicketless in the second innings.

The Indian bowling attack which was seemingly their stronger suit ahead of the start of the series, has now suddenly became their weak link. The management is tensed about fielding the right bowling combinations with limited resources. The batting lineup needs a few changes as well, with Karun Nair's future hanging in the balance. He has to score in the second Test to ensure he gets a longer run in the format.
