Shivam Dube Addresses Young Athletes At TNSJA Awards
“This event is truly encouraging for all the young athletes. These small achievements provide them with the extra motivation to strive harder and bring pride to the nation. I am very grateful for the invitation. While I have witnessed such initiatives in Mumbai, I am not certain about other states. I will certainly advocate for similar programs elsewhere. This Rs. 30,000 may seem like a small amount, but it serves as encouragement. When you are young, every penny and every award truly matters" said Dube.
CSK CEO K. Vishwanathan was also present at the event, and he promised that Chennai Super Kings as a franchise will do their bit to not only promote cricket but also other sports.
“I want to confirm that CSK is committed to help and promote not only cricket but also other sports. I will pass on Baskaran’s request to N. Srinivasan,” he said.
Dr. R.N. Baba, Asst. Secretary of the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA), spoke about how the TNSJA awards are something that is very close to his heart.
“There are two awards in my home - my son Aparajith and daughter-in-law Jayaveena have won it in the past. The TNSJA is doing a wonderful job (in promoting talent),” said Dr. Baba.
Several eminent personalities were part of the event. Former Indian all-rounder Robin Singh, MRF Pace Foundation head coach M. Senthilnathan, and former India hockey captain Mohammed Riaz graced the event with their presence.
Speaking about CSK, the franchise is placed ninth on the IPL 2025 points table with two wins from their first 8 games. They next take on SRH on April 25, Friday.
