Sri Lanka received a massive jolt as star spinner Wanindu Hasaranga is ruled out of the upcoming three-match T20I series against Bangladesh. The spinner suffered a hamstring injury on his right leg while batting in the third ODI. The veteran played a crucial role in the ODI series to help the hosts win the series 2-1.

Sri Lanka have refrained from opting for a replacement for Hasaranga. The spinner will be going to Colombo to begin his rehabilitation process at the High-Performance Center. Charith Asalanka will be leading the Lankan side, with the series scheduled to begin on Thursday, July 10.

Speaking about the third ODI, the hosts completely out bowled and out batted Bangladesh, as they won the game by a whopping margin of 99 runs. Hasaranga picked up two wickets as the visitors were bundled out for just 186 runs inside 40 overs in pursuit of a 286-run target. The Lankan's will be riding high on confidence after a resounding performance in the ODI series.
