BCCI are pondering about recalling T, Dilip, the former Indian fielding coach who was snubbed following India's Test series losses to New Zealand and Australia.
However, with India's upcoming Test series against England on the horizon, the board is willing to recall the former Indian fielding coach. He is said to be given a year's extension on his contract.
While Gautam Gambhir saw the likes of Abhishek Nayar and Morne Morkel being snubbed from the Indian coaching staff, Rohit Sharma has reportedly worked his magic in bringing behind T Dilip.

Rohit Sharma The Catalyst Behind T Dilip's Possible Return
Rohit Sharma is said to be very close to Dilip and he requested the Indian head coach Gambhir to bring him back into the side. Despite retiring from test cricket, Rohit had played the role of a catalyst behind Dilip's possible return to the coaching role with Team India.
According to a report by PTI, the BCCI was keen on getting a foreign fielding coach but could not get one within the stipulated time. Now as per a report in Cricbuzz, they might reconsider bringing back T Dilip after Rohit's personal request to Gautam Gambhir.
Previously it was also reported that the BCCI is looking to name Ryan ten Doeschate as the fielding coach after Dilip's snub, However, he will continue as Gambhir's assistant coach with T Dilip's comeback on the cards.
Dilip worked wonders with the Indian team with respect to their fielding. His training sessions and drills were enjoyed by everyone. He started the trend of the best fielder award in the dressing room in tournaments like the ODI World Cup and T20 World Cup which garnered a lot of attention across social media.

T Dilip Joined Team India In 2021 Under Rahul Dravid
Dilip first joined the team in November 2021 with Rahul Dravid as the head coach of the side. He has worked very hard to improve India's fielding standards in international cricket which is why he is considered for a comeback with India's Test series against England on the cusp. The series is expected to test out India's ground fielding and catching as well which is why Dilip is being considered as the best man for the job as of now.
India's Test series starts from June 20 with the first Test at Headingley, Leeds. The India A side has already landed in UK and will play a couple of games against England Lions and an intra-squad match against India's senior team before the Test series.
