Zimbabwe vs South Africa Toss Updates & Playing 11: South Africa Tour of Zimbabwe 2025, 2nd Test; Craig Ervine Opts to Bowl

South Africa and Zimbabwe will square off against each other in the second Test of the ongoing series scheduled at the Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo from July 6.

After a crushing 328-run win in the first match, South Africa have the upper hand. They will be aiming to close out the series with another strong effort. 

In the first Test, South Africa controlled the game from start to finish. Lhuan-dre Pretorius scored a century up front and Wiaan Mulder added another in the second innings. 

With Keshav Maharaj sidelined due to injury, Mulder will lead the South African side in this match.

There was a positive for Zimbabwe as well. Sean Williams impressed with a solid hundred in the first innings. But to really push South Africa, they will need a much-improved all-round performance.

Led by Craig Ervine, the home team will be hoping to turn things around and end the series on a high.

Batting is easiest in the first two days at the Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo. The pitch is flat and offers little to the bowlers early on. Pacers might get some swing with the new ball but it does not last long. As the match goes deeper, the surface gets slower and spinners become more effective.
